The original aspiration motivating my recent journey that became a 3,573 mile pilgrimage through 8 states was to speak to the Hare Krishna Devotees at Kalachandji’s Palace in Dallas, Texas of my recollections of Srila Gurudeva Tamal Krishna Goswami. I express my gratitude to Rupa Prabhu for recording and posting this 93 minute YouTube that captured most of what I said, and to all the Assembled Devotees who contributed their recollections.

This discussion is full of Sanskrit and Bengali terms that are common parlance among Vaisnavas, devotees of Krishna. Anyone who would like definitions or clarification of unfamiliar words, please message me privately via http://www.facebook.com/indy.inasia
At 0:04:00 into the recording I state, “more than a hundred” people died in the Abadan, Iran, movie house arson of August, 1978. There were actually more than 400 fatalities.

Regarding the meaning of the name Lomasha Rishidas:
Lomasha means hairy. Rishi means sage. Das means servant.
Lomasha (or Lomas, Lomasa, Lomaśa) Rishi (or Rsi, Ṛṣi), also called Lomasha Muni, is a sage who prayed for long life and was “gifted” to be covered with hair, and to live until he was completely naked of hair, with one hair falling from his body once in every… extremely long period of time, the unit of time varies with the telling of the story.
One of the oldest ornamented caves in India is named for him http://tinyurl.com/2bzdysy yet there are still Lomasha Rishi sightings in India, particularly at the Mela http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mela
My Sanskrit name, Lomasha Rishidas (Lomaśa Ṛṣi dasa), given to me by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami in Sri Mayapur in March of 1977, means “servant of Lomasha Rishi”. I beg forgiveness from Srila Prabhupada, Lomasha Muni, and all Vaisnavas for executing that service so poorly and so intermittently.
